Girl Scout Troop Uses Our Website as a Resource for a Merit Badge Project
This is fun. A mother reached out to us this week to let us know at her daughter’s Girl Scout Troop is working on their Textile Artist Badge.
The girl’s Mom tells us “The Textile Artist Badge is an at-home program ……The badge requires the girls to choose their textile method of choice, find tools, materials and patterns online to learn the basics. Your page led us to some great websites to check out, so {we} wanted to make sure we thanked you.”
One of the girls decided to research information about removing stains from fabrics. As a way to thanks to our guild for the information her troop found on our website, she thought we might be interested in knowing about one of the stain removal guides which she thought was particularly helpful. Here’s the link she she’s shared with us from her search: “A Guide to Removing Wine, Blood, Lipstick and other Stains!” on Winecellarinnovations.com. Thanks for sharing!
We’re happy to hear that our quilt guild’s website is a helpful resource. And we hope these Girl Scouts are having a great time learning about textiles and acquiring some new skills—maybe even learning to quilt!
