Show & Tell
Members share finished projects and works in progress at guild meetings. This is a fun opportunity to get encouragement, advice, and feedback from each other. It’s also inspiring if you’re sew-jo needs a boost. We share select pictures from Show & Tell here with each quilter’s permission. The best way to see them all is to join the guild!
2024 Summer Challenge
In September we gathered to share what we created over the summer. The challenge was to create kitchen themed projects. They could be things actually used in the kitchen, things made with kitchen related fabrics, or things inspired by items in the kitchen. It was a lot of fun to see what everyone made and to pick our favorites!
Quilt Shows at the West Roxbury Public Library
Twice a year we gather up our work and display it for a weekend at the West Roxbury Branch of the Boston Public Library. It is a wonderful space to display our creations. It’s open to the public and admission is free! Our members display quilts that were made in response to guild challenges along with a selection of three-yard quilts.
PBQ Quilt Show
PBQ also puts on our very own quilt show. This show is the culmination of hours of planning, piecing, and quilting. It’s always exciting to see what each quilter comes up with! The show also features a boutique with items guild members have made for sale and baked goods. It’s a good time!
Raffle Quilts
Peruse this gallery of quilts that are member collaborations. Each quilt is made of blocks pieced by various guild members. Another member then assembles those blocks and finishes the quilt. The finished quilt is raffled off to a lucky winner!
